Lucky 13

The number 13 is synonymous with bad luck... normally. In our case, we are truly blessed. Blessed to have celebrated 13 amazing years with each other.  Thirteen years ago, we were young and in love!  Look how cute we were!!  We may have aged, but so has our love into a stronger bond than I could ever imagine.  OK, enough mushy stuff... 

We have a tradition of either celebrating with a night out to Melting Pot "OR" a night out to the Capital Grille.  Both locations treat us so great, it is a tough call each year. This year, our anniversary fell on a Monday and we decided to hit up the Melting Pot.

We had an awesome dinner and pulled out all the stops.  We even splurged on a good bottle of wine and lobster!  At the end of the meal, the manager stopped by our table to let us know that he loved that we continue to celebrate with them and that they are blessed the Melting Pot is a part of our tradition (we even went there two nights before we got married!). After he spoke to our waiter, they determined we would be the winners of their "Manic Monday" competition!  What is that, you ask?  Obviously, they take the cutest couple in the restaurant, who are so deep in love and offer to buy their dinner!  It's our lucky Day!

Wow - a free meal! That is awesome. Hmm... we should just call ourselves lucky and call it a week.  Nope, not us. We go to Capital Grille a week later to continue our celebration. Capital Grille also gave us a special treat. They provided us with champagne and dessert!  Yes, Lucky 13 Indeed.
