We all Love Green and Gold!

We had another "Big Game" for CSU.  For the first time ever, CSU Rams played the "hairy cows from Fargo" (per Kris)... The rest of us proudly call them the NDSU Bison!  I have always heard the NDSU fans travel quite well and they did not disappoint.  We had so many people visit that we couldn't even have them all stay at our house!  We had Melissa, Brady, Brooklyn , Brody, Brianna and her boyfriend, Ryan stay with us.  Melissa and Jason Ohlheiser were forced to find coverage in a hotel, but we were excited they were able to join us when they could.

As CSU won their first game against CU and the NDSU FSC National Champs also won their first game of the season... we knew it would be close.  This was the first year our two teams have ever played each other as NDSU just moved Divisions and we couldn't be happier for the friendly rivalry. In Amy's eyes...she of course wanted CSU to win, but either team was a win for her as she has been following the Bison since before her daddy went tailgating as a Blues Brother when she was a little girl.

There was a lot of trash talk in our home for a couple of days.  Especially, since Brianna brought her boyfriend, Ryan, who was the kicker for NDSU last year when they won their National Championship.  By game day ~ we were All Ready!

We set up our spot and started to have fun.  To make the Bison fans feel at home - we decided to have "Taco in a Bag" and it was Amazing!

Then was some time for some corn hole

Hook 'em Horns?? I thought they were Bison?
Then time for the game ~ it was an exciting game (for the first half) and then the fate was sealed.  We were excited to watch a great team play; however... this time... CSU was not the great team we speak of.  NDSU did well and their fans continued to be fun throughout the game.
Both teams' fans still enjoying the game

Did we mention Ryan won the National Championship last year?

NDSU Fans are pretty Fun

We recently had a request to house a few NDSU fans.  This wouldn't be a big deal; however... this particular weekend... NDSU was playing CSU.  We all got our competetive hats on and were ready for some fun, family rivalry. :-)  We will post a separate blog related to the Big Game, but the real fun of the trip was ~ our family time.

The boys are in Love with their cousins and I am pretty sure the feeling is mutual.  The kids had so much fun together - it was a blast to try to keep up with all the fun and smiling moments.
OK - Maybe 'All' of the moments weren't so smiley

At least the Adults are smiling!
* that is cause the kids are sleeping... and we are eating Steak!
We had a blast at the CSU/NDSU football game on Saturday, but you will have to wait for those pics as they will be in the upcoming blog.  After the game, we had decided to stay in a hotel room in Ft Collins for the night.  Of course - a pool was Required and that is just how we used our Sunday morning!

Can you say "Cheese"?
Once we got home... it was full of cousin bonding in the yard and of course playing football.  We tried getting some kicking lessons from the famous NDSU Kicker, but our kids preferred to tackle each other instead.

Sunday night was the Bronco/Steelers game.  Melissa and Jason Olheiser took our tickets to the game ... and what a game for them to enjoy! It was a great game to watch, but not as great as the game we had going on in our living room.
Let's tackle Brooklyn the Ball Carrier

Now let's strip the football from Brooklyn

Are you ready for some football?
We loaded up for a fun day at the Wildlife Museum on Monday.  It was a way to tucker out the kiddos prior to heading to the VIP tour at Coors Brewery.  Actually, Kasey and Karsten went to daycare in the afternoon so they will have to wait a bit for their VIP tour, but we wanted to tucker out Brooklyn and Brody before heading to the "Adult Museum".

One of the Big perks while we had visitors was that Kris set us up on a VIP tour at Coors Brewery!  We Got suited up and were on our way.  It was really fun to move away from the crowds of people doing self-tours and have a personal guide take us to special areas.  The guide was great and filled us in on plenty of additional beer knowledge.  Afterwards, we headed to the VIP tasting room, but chose to enjoy some lemonade until Kris came to join us.  Once he arrived; he brought us all up to Bill's Bar which is the employee lounge.  We enjoyed having many fun beers to choose from up there!

There's nothing better than a beer after the tour, right Brady
On the Woodard's last day, we Had to hit up the Denver Zoo!  You might notice there are not too many pics of the adults, but I promise - we were all there too.  Then, it was some more time tuckering out the kiddos at home.  We pulled out the hockey net and had Brady coach the kids on how to properly block those slapshots!

Block like this, Daddy?

One last cuddle before heading to the airport...
You will ALL Be Missed until we get to play again!
