Our house might just stand still after football season is over. Don't get me wrong, we enjoy some other random events with friends, but we sure miss seeing them regularly up in Fort Collins. The Green and Gold Spring Game is the perfect way to break it up and see them one more time before our summer is filled up with boating and camping. All four of us shot out of bed that morning to get ready for the game! Once we got there, we did some tailgating and Keith even brought this super cool new propane grill. Looked like a Wok and worked like a charm. I am hoping it will make another appearance at another tailgate soon!

This year was super cool because our kiddos were old enough for "Football Camp". Kasey was apprehensive at first. Ok, he outright told me he would "NEVER do Football camp, Ever", but the second he hit the field... he changed his mind. Both boys were in the same group (which was super helpful for pics). They started at one location and started rotating throughout all the different technical rotations over the next hour or so. The idea was to provide a foundation for basic football fundamentals and all expert coaching was provided by the CSU players. They covered the three point stance, how to throw a spiral, how to receive the quarterbacks throw, etc. Was so great to see how much fun they were having. This was by far my favorite part of the day.

After camp was over, we retired upstairs to the Hughes Room, where we enjoyed comfy seats, great Colorado beverages and snacks. The day went so fast, I feel like there were people I didn't even get to catch up with. After the game ended, we went down on the field to get signatures on our 2016 poster. The boys proudly display their posters on the wall all year and check constantly at which team we will play next.
This year was extra fun for me as we ran into Fred Zerblis, offensive lineman, who was a freshman back in the 2013 New Mexico Bowl game against the Cougars and who we have watched grow as a player each year! We even got to meet our new coach for the first time. Coach Mike Bobo came to us from the Georgia Bulldogs at the start of the 2015 football season. He had an overall good year and we are looking forward to seeing how his recruiting efforts worked this year.
The boys missed their Rammie Friends, but did great entertaining each other that day. They loved meeting the players and getting autographs and as a bonus... both kids got a pair of matching gloves! Will be fun to see if they will wear them one day when they fit a little better!
