Rocky Mountain Showdown!

Wow... After 8 straight losses... 4 years of losing to CU.... two new coaches... We Won The Rocky Mountain Showdown!!!
The next generation of CSU Alumni
We had tickets to Mile High for the game, but all decided to sell our tickets and use the money to cater a party with our friends.  We got a Keg of Coors Light (would you expect anything else in this Molson Coors house?) and got Qdoba Mexican restaurant to cater the event with a burrito bar.  Although we had a keg... Erika thought (correctly) that it would be super fun to have Adult Capri Suns (alcohol included).  What a delicious treat!

Adult Capri Sun's (Frozen Marg in a bag) for the girls
And... what an event it was!  We had about 15 adults and 7 kiddos join us.  At least we weren't outnumbered!  We were missing a few of our good friends who couldn't make it, but all in all... a good day.  We are excited football season is back, but with so many scores (Final 22 - 17 CSU); it was hard to catch up today.  Can't wait for our next get together at the first homegame of the season (CSU vs NDSU BISON!!!).  More to come on the first homegame in Ft Fun in an upcoming blog
A full house for the victory

What did Jim say that caused Amy to give him a choke hold?

After the majority of the fans went home humming the CSU fight song... we continued to have a get together on the patio at Cannode's Bar

Amy and Canada ~ do they even have football in Canada?
Of course cocktails on the deck would not be complete without enjoying some time watching the kids play in the yard.  Uncle Jim volunteered to spent some quality time with the kids while the adults spent time on the deck.
