What do we do in our down time, you ask? Do we sit at home and stare at each other? No Way ~ not our style. We head to the nearby park or to the neighborhood skating rink to test out our new hockey skills.
We have really enjoyed skating as a family. I particularly like showing off my skills from back in the day. The boys are all really getting good; Kris included :-). Kris did minimal skating as a kid, but has really enjoyed learning new tricks while out on the ice.
Future Warriors? Maybe! Amy was excited to see her Alma Mater written on the boards. Arapahoe Warrior or Legend Titan.. no matter me to as long as they still enjoy the ice! We will see if this sticks or they find another passion to focus on! Until they decide... we will just enjoy our family days on the ice!
And, what do you do after skating in the cold for a few hours? Enjoy warming up, of course! The boys are pretty stoked about getting old enough to enjoy a short time in the 'hot pool'. I must admit, there is less relaxing happening and more splashing, but it sure is fun to watch!
