We are so excited for the Easter season for many reasons. Above all, we are thankful that He Is Risen! Additionally, it means spring weather and outside adventures. The boys are pretty stoked about the Easter Bunny and Kasey runs around and tells anyone that listens that God made him. Together; we think he is 'starting' to get the true feeling of the Easter Season.

| Ready for the helicopter and all those eggs. |
The week prior to Easter, we took the boys (along with Gma and Gpa Cannode) on an Easter Egg Drop. What is a 'Drop', you say?? Well, you have a Helicoptor fly over the football field six times dropping eggs each flyover. The boys definitely LOVED the helicoptor (the first couple of times). They both pointed and shouted Helicopter as it got closer. Well; Kasey yelled 'Helicopto' and Karsten yelled 'Aye-Pane', but they were both definitely excited. After the novelty wore off though, they became less enthralled. Karsten decided the plane was too loud and started to shove his ears into mommy's shoulders. Once the plane was done, it was time for the 'hunt'. I thought we were supposed to be hunting 'eggs'.... little did I know I would spend the whole time hunting for Gpa and Kasey. Gma and Karsten were right in front of us (aka: the Paparatzi), but Gpa took a wild spin and we lost them the entire hunt. Thank goodness there were still a few eggs to grab when we all hooked back up! This was Kasey's Second hunt, but Karsten did not partake last year so this was his FIRST! They both did great and got the concept rather quickly. It was fun to watch the excitement on their face when finding a new egg (even the half shells that Karsten kept grabbing)

| If you click on the picture it will enlarge and you can see the eggs! |

| Found one egg, now where is Kasey and Gpa. |

| There's Kasey and Gpa and he found something in his egg. |
We decided egg dying was in order to help celebrate the season. Both boys really enjoyed it last year so we thought it would be a perfect tradition to do again this year. It went rather smoothly and the boys loved all the color. Mommy was even impressed there was not that much to clean up on the table after our event!
 |
| Karsten was excited and Kasey was mesmerized with the dye. |
 |
| Mommy is giving Karsten a lesson on dyeing while Kasey looks on. |
 |
| See Daddy, you have to stir it up. |
 |
| ALL DONE!!!!! Not sure who is more excited, Mommy or the boys. |
Easter Sunday, we went to church as a family and came home to find out the Easter bunny had stopped by and left some eggs in backyard. Kasey picked up his first egg, opened it and found a skittle inside. Skittles are pretty important to this child as that is what he gets when he goes pee in the potty. He screamed to his Gma Cannode that he had a skittle, popped it in his mouth and moved onto egg #2. That one also had a skittle! (ok - they all had a skittle inside, but each time it was as exciting for them). Kasey kept opening them and popping it right in his mouth. Grandma told him he could collect the eggs first and eat after. Then, Kasey was on a roll. Kasey getting a slow start was a good thing for Karsten. Karsten started running all over the yard picking up eggs. He would hold it up in the air and yell "I Did It!". He was so excited and didn't even know what was inside.
 |
| I know I can pick them both up at once. |
 |
| That's a nice one Gma, but I see some more over there. |
 |
| What is that rattling around inside? |
 |
| One down, several to go! |
After a yummy ham dinner and some well needed naps after the sugar comas wore off... it was time for our holiday family walk. We took off with the kids in the stroller. Both boys decided they would rather walk so Amy saw her opportunity. She jumped right in the stroller! We aren't sure about the weight limit on this thing, but evidently she was under it since it didn't break! Our walk included lots of goofing off (as you can see), but it was also some great quality time chatting it up with family. Needless to say, after this marathon of Easter events... our family slept well that evening.

| No Mommy, this is mine. |

| This is how you push the stroller, Gpa. |
