Our family enjoys regular zoo trips during the summer while the weather is still nice. This year, we have had Such a pleasant
Early Spring that it has enabled us a few trips already in March! March 4th was a day for our family to enjoy some quality time together. Just us... and about a few hundred of our closest friends who also thought it was a beautiful day for the zoo.

Both of the boys loved seeing this monkey play with the crowd. |

Here birdy, I have my hand out and everything. |
We also recently went with good friends, "The Godfather" and his girlfriend, Sarah. It was another beautiful day! We had some time to kill outside while we waited for our crew, but no worries... our kiddos entertained us. Kasey found a Bronze statue of an "Alligator" and kept running up to it - Jumping back - and yelling 'It Scared Me'! He would then Giggle and Repeat. Karsten also got in on the fun. Kasey says a lot 'scares him' lately, but we are thinking this is just a new phrase from daycare as he still appears pretty fearless.

Oh no here it comes. |
 |
It's gonna get us. |
Normally, we make it half way through the zoo so this time we planned ahead and started at the end of the tour. We worked our way backwards and as always... didn't make it all the way through the zoo. We did get to see the Lions and Monkeys per Kasey's request, but unfortunately, the Elephants were still not on display until their new home is built. That will be portrayed in a summer Blog as it is expected to open this June!

Here we go Karsten, we need to see the Tigers. |

This time of year is also special for us as we have our Full Time Traveling Grandparents back in Colorado. George is on a Chemo Maintenance Program, which means every few months, he has to come back to have treatments once a week for four weeks. Thankfully, this gives us a few guaranteed weeks to get some Grandma and Grandpa lovin' for the Super K's until the end of April. Recently, we were able to enjoy some beautiful weather in our backyard. The boys enjoyed playing on the playground equipment and even doing some 'bug huntin'. We found a Garden Centipede and a Roly Poly bug. The boys had fun watching how fast the centipede ran and were intrigued by the Roly Poly. Kasey loved watching Mommy touch it so it would roll into a ball, but refused to touch it himself. He claimed 'it scared him' (favorite phrase recently, remember). Karsten had no fear though. He wanted to touch him so bad that he almost squashed him in the process! We sure had fun that beautiful day and hope there are a few more in store for April. I am pretty sure we all have Spring Fever and are not welcoming the snow back until next winter. Of course you realize that since I said this ... we are SURE to get another large, heavy, wet snow storm before winter is officially over.

It is always a pleasure to see Kasey and Karsten having fun! They are a treasure and so are Mommy and Daddy!
