The Life and Times of the Cannodes: St Patties Day!

As a good friend once told us "You Can't Drink All Day Unless You Start in the Morning!" That was the theme for our 2012 St Patties Day. We were lucky enough to have Kris' folks wanting to have an entire day with the kiddos so we got the boys up for breakfast, set them up with some Irish Attire and headed on our way downtown to the '4th and Final St Patrick's Day Parade and Breakfast' held at Karsten Board's loft.

How do I look?

I'm in the Irish spirit Dad, but I am not sure what's going on over there.

It was an incredibly fun day, where we stayed mainly at our buddy, Karsten's loft. We chatted it up, played Banangrams (kinda like scrabble) and of course enjoyed some green beer. The green beer this year was very special as it was brewed by our good friend, Geoff. After we ran out of cold beverages; we chose to head to some local watering holes. On the way, we got to see part of the parade, which is always a treat.

We started at Swankys (granted - Not an Irish bar) and ran into some Leprino Co-workers. After enjoying a green ice cream drink - we headed to Scruffy Murphy's, where we were at the remainder of our day downtown. It was great fun with a live Irish band and Bagpipers and Dancers.

After we were completely exhausted from our early start in the day, we headed home for some cudddles with our own Irishmen. We finished off our day by watching our boys draw with sidewalk chalk and shoot hoops. The day couldn't be more perfect!!
