Basement Progress

Kris recently received a bonus week of vacation from MolsonCoors.  Hmm... Go to Vegas? Hawaii?  Vail? ... Nope!  Amy put him on task!  "Let's finish the Basement!" she Cheerfully said.  Our plan was actually only half of the basement due to timing and the amount of stuff in our basement ~ Can you say "Garage Sale" this spring!?!  Here is our before with just about half of the boards that we assume are needed for this half of the basement.  Will be fun to watch come together!

Good thing we have such a good crew to help us.  George, Pat and David have offered up their time to help us with this fun project.  In fact, Kasey and Karsten wanted to help too!  Their favorite part so far was wearing the hearing protection while we shot nails into the concrete floor!  I can't get over what great helpers they are!  They are so into working with Grandpa and Daddy!

"Too LOUD, Grandpa!!!"

Wow - with all this hard work... would be fun to have a half time show.  Good thing the boys are here to Entertain!

Now that the weekend is over, the kids (and Amy) are back at work and it is time for Kris, George and Pat to Really get to work!  Here are some of the progress shots that I had to BEG them to take as I was slaving away at Leprino. This is what 7 days of vacation looks like for Kris.  Thanks, Hun!  I am so excited about our progress!!
Pocket Door install between bedroom and bathroom
We decided to knock down the wall coming downstairs - still up in the air if we will leave open or do a banister.  Either way, all I know was it was one Dusty Project!

The first room to be drywalled was our 'project room'.  This will house Amy's craft table as well as Kris' reloading benches.  Always looks so impressive when you get dry wall up!

The kiddos think this door is their size - still working on a few more cuts
That basically sums up a week's worth of adventures.  As you can see, David, Pat, George and Kris all worked Really Hard to pull these rooms together.  We still have a lot of work ahead of us, but for now... Lets focus on a few important Birthdays ~ Kasey's and of course our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Final CSU game?

Our last home game of the year and it was against the Mighty Air Force.  Always a tough one for us to pick a side as we are both from Air Force families.  This day was extra special as we had an Air Force Chief with us and he cheered for the RAMS!  Guess you cheer for where your money goes... not where it came from, eh, George?  Tailgating was a blast as always and we think the boys had even more fun than usual since Grandpa was with them the entire time.  I haven't seen him this tired in a long time!  They played football, fought with grass swords and of course wrestled.  Very fun to watch!

The regulars just sat back, enjoyed a few beverages and yummy food.  Of course, we had to go see Cam, get our face painted and enjoy the bouncy house too!

I love this pic of Leif and Alisa. Ok - for the record... BOTH of them are Crazy.  It was too chilly for shorts, but not quite chilly enough for a winter coat and hat.  What silly friends we have.  It was a lovely fall day.
We had an exceptionally fun crew at this game.  We fell into some extra tickets and were joined by the Ryersons and the Prehms!  Felt like the old days with such a large group!
We also evidently multiplied children over the years.  Wow... what a beautiful sight of such Ram Lovin' kiddos!

Inside the game, we enjoyed watching the Rams kickin' tail on the field.  Love how our group seriously Takes Over our section!

We also had some firsts while at the game.  Kasey kissed his "Caffie" (Cassie) and Karsten to not be outdone... got a kiss from his lady, Kerry!

I just LOVE watching watching a sunny game with Friends.  Was fun to see the generations of friends happening today.  Kasey, Brianna and Cale were enjoying the game together!

Yup, you guessed it - We Beat Air Force!  Whoo Hoo!  That leaves us with a record of 7-6, which makes us Bowl Eligible!  Guess this isn't our last game of the year as we are going to New Mexico!!!  Game is planned for Dec 21st and we plan to be the loudest crew there!  Can't wait!  GO RAMS!
Bowl Eligible, Baby!  Let's Dance!

The Magic of Christmas

I know how much my husband loves me, but he really went above and beyond this time!  Amy wanted lights on the peaks of our home ... Kris stopped at Nothing to let me have it!  He even shimmied on the tiniest part of the roof!

We also decorated our tree.  As is our tradition, we turn on some Christmas tunes and start by putting the Angel on the tree.  Each year, we alternate which kid gets to put the Angel on the tree and this year, that lucky kid was Karsten!  Karsten couldn't quite reach the top of the tree ~ Thank Goodness, Daddy was there to help!

Next, it was time for ornaments.  It was a chaotic, but fun event.

I think our tree is Just Perfect!   Pretty proud of how pretty our house turned out this year too!  Merry Christmas all!  I sure hope our house is bright enough for Santa to find us in a few weeks!
