Basement Progress

Kris recently received a bonus week of vacation from MolsonCoors.  Hmm... Go to Vegas? Hawaii?  Vail? ... Nope!  Amy put him on task!  "Let's finish the Basement!" she Cheerfully said.  Our plan was actually only half of the basement due to timing and the amount of stuff in our basement ~ Can you say "Garage Sale" this spring!?!  Here is our before with just about half of the boards that we assume are needed for this half of the basement.  Will be fun to watch come together!

Good thing we have such a good crew to help us.  George, Pat and David have offered up their time to help us with this fun project.  In fact, Kasey and Karsten wanted to help too!  Their favorite part so far was wearing the hearing protection while we shot nails into the concrete floor!  I can't get over what great helpers they are!  They are so into working with Grandpa and Daddy!

"Too LOUD, Grandpa!!!"

Wow - with all this hard work... would be fun to have a half time show.  Good thing the boys are here to Entertain!

Now that the weekend is over, the kids (and Amy) are back at work and it is time for Kris, George and Pat to Really get to work!  Here are some of the progress shots that I had to BEG them to take as I was slaving away at Leprino. This is what 7 days of vacation looks like for Kris.  Thanks, Hun!  I am so excited about our progress!!
Pocket Door install between bedroom and bathroom
We decided to knock down the wall coming downstairs - still up in the air if we will leave open or do a banister.  Either way, all I know was it was one Dusty Project!

The first room to be drywalled was our 'project room'.  This will house Amy's craft table as well as Kris' reloading benches.  Always looks so impressive when you get dry wall up!

The kiddos think this door is their size - still working on a few more cuts
That basically sums up a week's worth of adventures.  As you can see, David, Pat, George and Kris all worked Really Hard to pull these rooms together.  We still have a lot of work ahead of us, but for now... Lets focus on a few important Birthdays ~ Kasey's and of course our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
