Amy has grown accustomed to getting up early to work on prepping the food. Little Karsten normally joins her for some morning cooking lessons, but not this year! David and April were kind enough to host Thanksgiving this year! That meant that Amy was in charge of bringing deviled eggs, wine and beer. Awesome! Lets all sleep in! Even though we had FOUR pies made by April, George and Pat... Amy felt she needed her pumpkin pie. And who better to help cook then her favorite little men!
Even Kris got in on the fun. He helped make the deviled eggs. The picture below is of our boys being tweeting birdies (notice the egg shell on Kasey's head ~ I guess he just hatched!). We had lots of time outs during our cooking session as the Macy's Day parade was on in the background! "Let me show you my webs, Mommy!" Karsten would say when Spider man came on the TV!What a Relaxing Day at David's home! We had nothing to do, but enjoy our family ....
...and watch the attack by "David Mitten-Hands"! ~ RUN!!!!
David and April have been slaving over a hot stove all day, but what gets the most buzz in this group? The Turkey of course! And we must say to Ms April...So very nice of the Vegetarian Host to serve us a turkey! It was Delicious!!
And in case you were wondering... yes - we had Left Overs! Wow. Such an amazing meal! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to David and April (and George and Pat too for their contributions!)
Our favorite part of any large, Holiday meal is going on a walk after dinner! We love living in Colorado where we are blessed with sunshine on Thanksgiving and even sometimes on Christmas! David's new place has a park nearby and boy... what a park!
No workout is complete without a little Basketball!
Come on, Gpa - you play defense! |
