Enjoying the Mountains ~ Snow Shoeing

Time to get ready for some Mountain Fun!  Karsten thought the backpack looked rather heavy, but Kasey showed him it was not heavy at All!  They were Ready!
How do you carry this? It's too heavy

Just like this Karsten
Ok, not in our normal way of 'skiing', but we have gotten into snow shoeing lately! Amy even got a pair for Christmas! Last year, we were quite successful.  Who knew 1 year and 5 extra pounds made such a difference.  Our kids were a lot more Wiggly this year!
Check out Cale's snow shoes!

Enough rest day, start hiking

Whew, Do I Look as Exhausted as I Feel?!?!  What a fun and beautiful snow day with friends.  Can't wait for our next adventure in the snow!

Our next snow day wasn't far behind!  In fact, we made a plan for Jason, Alisa, Jim, Sarah and our family to head up to the mountains together.  The boys turned off at Winter Park and went skiing for the day.  The girls continued on to Fraiser to head out for some more snow shoeing.  Hmm.. .How is this going to work? Amy has BOTH Kids and only one back to carry them on.  Thank Goodness for good friends!  Sarah offered to help by getting a bit more of a workout for the day.  I gave her the lightest kid (which is still 30 Lbs) plus a 10 lb backpack and we were all ready for a beautiful snowy day.  In fact, at one point, the adults stopped so both kids and adults could kick their heads back and catch snowflakes on our tongues!
Everyone is smiling before the hike

Still smiling, is there anything these girls cant do?
