This Is How We Roll

Amy and Alisa decided it would be fun to get a group together to go bowling.  Of course Karsten and Kasey requested Luke and Julie to attend!  We had quite the group, but as you can see from the pics... very few pics of the adults.  This was our boys' First Bowling trip and they Loved it!
Karsten loved shoving that ball as hard as he could and enjoyed the fact that he actually beat Mommy's final score!  I think we have a ringer on our hands!
Kasey also enjoyed bowling.  Although, I am pretty sure his favorite part was spinning in slippery shoes on the wood floor.  This kid has Moves on the dance floor!
We even got to bowl in the dark for a bit!

Yep, it was a successful day and they are already asking to go back.  Looks like I need to brush up on my skills to keep up with Karsten and Kasey!

Avs Game 5

Alright, by now we know the Avs made it to Game 7 of the playoffs and no... it didn't end up how we expected.  Let down again this year by yet another Colorado team this year; but I digress...
Kari had sweet tickets to the Avs and asked us to join her and her hubby, Eric!  Um - Of Course we wanna go!!  We had excellent seats and it was great to watch two teams who worked so hard to be in the playoffs doing so well against each other!  Did I mention the other team was the MN Wild? There might have been a few texts that night back and forth between Kari/Amy and Melissa who was watching from the comfort of her couch.
The game was intense and we even got to go to OT!  This is our reaction of extending our evening out for more Avalanche fun!
Final Score?  4-3; AVS!  What an Excellent way to end the evening and what a great night out with friends!  Thanks again for the tickets, Kari!!

It was a fantastic evening and got our entire family into the spirit for the upcoming games.  Our boys were especially excited about the Avalanche playing!

Rodeo or Wedding Reception???

We recently went to see the Rodeo All Stars and had a blast!  The kids were excited for yet another rodeo (this is becoming a regular for them!) and for being able to miss their bedtime by a few hours.  I should note as you may have noticed in other posts, but can Definitely tell in this one... Karsten has a black nose as he was an Easter Bunny at school on Friday and wouldn't let us take the nose off until Easter Sunday!

Funny thing is that I didn't take one picture of the rodeo.  The most fun part was before it even started!  Music was going and kids had a few dance moves to show off.  So cute!
After the rodeo, we stopped by The Chute for a quick beverage before heading home.  We did only have one beverage, but it seemed to last all night.  We got in there and it was quite similar to a wedding reception.  Grown ups and Kids dancing Everywhere! We decided to show off a few of our moves as well, but not before the boys decided to show off their Cinch jeans... Kris, what are you looking at?
The girls weren't wearing Cinch so they just decided to have fun with props.  The kids Loved this part too!

Time to move and groove!  What a workout. There were so many great songs; we barely stopped dancing!  We had a blast and the kids enjoyed being center stage to show off their moves before heading home.  Needless to say, the kids were asleep in the truck before we got out of the parking lot!

Easter Activities

The boys Love dying Easter eggs and ask almost monthly if they can color eggs.  Tis the season!

The morning of Easter, we all went to church and then had our egg hunt (as stated in our previous post).  After all the fun was over; it was time to get to work!  Karsten and Mommy had some one on one time while Daddy took Kasey to Chatfield to help clean sites.  We started by cooking...
Then, it was time to play again!  Bubbles, a sandbox all by himself... life couldn't get better...

That is until Brother came home!  Then, the real party began!

We spent a lot of time outside enjoying the sunshine until Uncle David arrived.  All it took was one comment about stealing their eggs and the game was on!  Run, boys!  Don't let him get your candy!

Nothing like a tasty ham for our delicious holiday meal.  It turned out wonderful! Great Job, Kris!
After we ate, it was time to burn a few calories.  Baseball, anyone??

Little Bunny Foo-Foo

Kasey and Karsten's favorite song is "Little Bunny Foo-Foo; hopping down the forest; scooping up the field mice and bopping them on the head!"  Well; here are my little bunny foo-foos on Easter day!  The first one is of them at "Singing Church" (as Kasey calls it) before service started.  Karsten is practicing ringing his bell to announce "He Is Risen!"

Every year I am intrigued by how the egg hunts show where the boys are developmentally. At one year; they kinda toddled around and when they see an egg they become focused on that egg. Age two need an egg in each hand, but then get kind of stuck from there! This year, Karsten at age three is totally on board...he understands the purpose and was ready to run out to get those eggs! However after a few minutes he got a little side tracked.  Kasey was another story! At age four, he had this gig down.  He remembered the egg hunt from prior years.  He was completely focused until there were no eggs left! Good thing he realized his brother got distracted.  Often I would see Kasey putting eggs in Karsten's basket.  What a great big brother!  Can't wait to see what happens next year... are you familiar with The Hunger Games?  All I have to say is these faces tell me ... the Game is On!

Karsten, Catch this green egg in your basket!

These smiles are the result of a Successful Hunt!  In fact, I have to pass on to the Easter Bunny that my kids shouted several times "This is the Best Hunt EVER!"  Nice Work, Mr Bunny!  Nice Work!

Road Trip!!!

I realize I still owe a few posts related to Easter, but this day had to be memorialized in its own Timely post.  George and Pat came up with a great idea to send the kids a packin'.  And boy, they were ready!  We have been talking up this road trip for weeks and the boys got really excited when we started packing their bags.  The Double K's are heading out to Tennessee this morning with Gma and Gpa Cannode.  They will take a few days to travel down there in the motor home and will spend the next couple of weeks enjoying time with their grandparents as well as their 2nd cousins and seeing the great USA!  We dropped the kiddos off at the motor home last night and got lots of hugs.  This pic was when I asked them if they were ready for their trip. I guess the answer was a firm 'Yes!'
Kris and I will be meeting them in Tennessee on May 16th and can't wait.  We have lots we will be doing in the next 16 days, but are already missing our boys as they hit the interstate and head south.  Thank goodness for technology - we will be skyping/face-timing them Daily!
