Vegas

Have you ever wondered... Is it possible to write a PG version of a Vegas Trip?  Will there be any pictures to post that are 'family friendly' enough?  Well; you are about to find out!

Recently, we had a group of ten of us ready to go to Vegas.  This was a trip that was planned by Jim, Sarah, Kris and Amy (as Sarah has quote has "Never had fun in Vegas before").  We were up for the challenge of showing her a good time.  Unfortunately two days before we left; Jim's Grandpa Joe passed away ~ Na zdrowie, Grandpa Joe! You will be missed.  Now our group was down to eight, but we were still ready and up for the challenge of causing many shenanigans in Vegas.

Four of us were staying at Mandalay Bay and the rest were at MGM Grand.  The one thing that made this tolerable was that we had a fancy tram to get us to and from each of the resorts.  Of course, we can find entertainment anywhere... and on the tram... Kyle was All the entertainment anyone needed!
Our trip started out Saturday morning with walking to In & Out.  We walk for two reasons - #1 we wanna burn off the calories of this exsquisite food and more importanty #2 we don't have a car.  In & Out did Not disappoint!

Angie's FIRST Double-Double experience ~ a Hit!
The next item on tap was some very Lazy pool time at the MGM Lazy River.  We suited up and went on our way to the MGM.  One small problem. . . our room was locked with all the beverages in it.  Angie and Amy sent Kyle and Kris downstairs for the key as we patiently waited outside the room door.  We saw someone coming . . .and realized it wasn't our boys.  It was "Jeff" (a friendly young man who was rooming just two doors away).  As everyone is friendly in Vegas, we were invited to join them in their room for a Coors Light while we waited for our friends to return.  Normally, this is a bad idea . . .and to Kasey and Karsten ... This Is a BAD Idea.  But, none the less, we joined them and had quite the enjoyable time.  Angie even assisted in applying sunscreen before we headed out the door for the pool.

Our new buddy, Jeff

After the pool, we got all showered up and were ready for a great dinner at Batistas Italian restaurant.  No pictures from that night?  Hmm... were they not family friendly or did Amy just forget to take pictures?  Lets go with Amy forgot.  Actually, there were a few from that night, but ... not many.

The Ocho, Standy-by and un-Jami
Sunday was another fun filled day of pool time!  Karsten and his friend, Jamiah, left around 2pm and Angie left around 4pm, but the rest of us had a full day at the pool before heading out for a nice Sushi dinner and some gambling.
Nothing like a friendly "pet" on the way to the pool

Everyone needs some additional nurishment - Pretzels are Yummy!

Some rough housing took place in the pool

Sometimes the results of friendly rough housing... end in marks

Hey, Kris!  Don't Mess with Ocho or the Freezer! They are tough!
Of course, there are no pictures of gambling as pictures are disallowed in casinos, but trust me - we had a blast!  Amy found the "Hot Craps Table" and got everyone involved in winning.  She even taught Kyle how to play craps and when they left the table - Kris, Amy, Scott and Kyle were all up (some more than others)!  Amy pointed out to the boys that the Vegas luck had changed and she was ready for bed.  Kris and Kyle were not quite sure and wanted to find the 'hidden' $5 tables.  That is just what they did. . . until they realized they were both running out of Money.  Crazy thing - when we practiced at Scott's Casino in Parker, CO . . . the "house" kept giving us money when we would run out.  Not sure why Vegas wouldn't follow that same policy.  Oh well; after realizing they were done "Paying the Light Bill" for the Casino - the boys headed for bed.
Our Delicious Sushi dinner!
(Anyone need any Syrup??)

By Monday, there were only three of us left and our flight wasn't until 5pm.  Our feet hurt and we weren't even interested in a beer anymore.  Instead; we enjoyed a nice breakfast buffet and some pool time at Mandalay Bay.

Although Jim and Sarah were sorely missed; we managed to have a good time and have many stories (most that we can not include in our 'family blog').  All I gotta say is that we enjoyed meeting Cody the Clepto Cop, will not miss Vegas the Hampster, we will miss Kiki terribly and will forever request syrup at a sushi bar!  We had better plan our next Vegas trip soon ~ and this time Sarah will be Going and will have Fun!
